Terms of Use
Terms for using WTG.
These Terms govern your use of What's the Game? Golf, which is operated by WHAT'S THE GAME GOLF, LLC (“WTG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using WTG, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use WTG.
Effective date: October 8, 2026
1. Eligibility and lawful use
You may use WTG only if you are legally able to agree to these Terms and your use is lawful where you are located. WTG is not designed as a children's service. Do not create an account for another person or submit another person's information unless you are authorized to do so.
2. What WTG does
WTG is a golf scoring, group-organization, game-calculation, results, and recordkeeping tool. It supports shared scorecards, Trips, Normal Games, supported golf games, history, Stats, and settlement calculations based on the setup, decisions, and scores users supply.
WTG calculates. Golfers settle.
WTG does not act as a sportsbook, set odds, accept or custody wagers, hold wallet balances or player funds, transmit golfer-to-golfer money, guarantee settlement, or confirm that one golfer paid another.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account. Do not use another person's account, impersonate another person, or allow unauthorized access. Contact support@whatsthegamegolf.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. User responsibilities
You are responsible for entering accurate golfer identities and scores; selecting the intended round setup, games, teams, handicaps, stakes, presses, and in-round decisions; reviewing the final scorecard, results, and settlement calculations; resolving golfer-to-golfer obligations outside WTG; complying with applicable laws and local course, event, and group rules; and obtaining permission before entering another person's information.
WTG calculations depend on user-supplied information. Changes to authoritative inputs may change results and settlement calculations.
5. Shared rounds and records
Authorized participants may contribute scores and view shared round state, results, and settlement calculations. Information you add to a shared group or round may be visible to other authorized participants.
Completed shared golf facts may remain after account deletion where needed to preserve other participants' scorecards, results, Stats, and mathematical integrity. Personal links to the deleted account are removed as provided by the deletion flow.
6. Photo import and OCR
OCR is an assistive score-entry feature, not a guarantee of accuracy. You must review and, if needed, correct proposed values before applying them. A recognized value does not become authoritative gameplay data unless you explicitly apply it.
7. Settlement and external payment services
WTG may display calculated golfer-to-golfer settlement amounts and may provide an external handoff based on a golfer's selected payment destination. WTG does not initiate, process, hold, guarantee, or verify the payment. Any payment occurs outside WTG under the participants' responsibility and the third-party provider's terms.
8. Membership
Core participation is free in the current release. Paid membership purchasing is not active. WTG does not offer a website checkout or publish membership prices for the current release.
Any future paid purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund, or entitlement terms will match the store and billing implementation and will be published before paid purchasing is enabled.
9. Acceptable use
You must not attempt unauthorized access to WTG, another account, or related systems; impersonate another person; interfere with or disrupt the service; extract data or probe the service except as allowed by law and written authorization; manipulate accounts, scores, results, settlement calculations, or service operation dishonestly; introduce malicious code; violate another person's rights; or use WTG unlawfully.
10. Availability and changes
Realtime and online features require a working network connection and may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable. WTG may improve, modify, discontinue, or replace features. If a change materially affects these Terms or the Privacy Policy, the applicable document should be updated before or when that change takes effect.
11. Account deletion, suspension, and termination
You can initiate account deletion from Profile in the app. Group ownership may need to be transferred to an eligible successor, or an offered archive option used, before deletion can finish. See Account Deletion for the current product flow.
WTG may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal compliance, including in response to suspected unauthorized access, harmful interference, or a material breach of these Terms. Any permanent termination process should be proportionate to the circumstances and applicable requirements.
12. Third-party services
WTG may provide links or handoffs to third-party services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. WTG does not control a third party's availability, acts, or payment processing.
13. Disclaimers
WTG is a recreational golf scoring and calculation tool. Users remain responsible for reviewing inputs and outputs and for resolving disputes among participants. To the extent permitted by applicable law, WTG is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without a guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, WTG is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the service, including disagreements about scores, game setup, results, settlement calculations, or payments made outside WTG.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. These Terms do not state a monetary liability cap.
15. Responsibility for misuse
You are responsible for losses caused by your unlawful use, intentional misuse, or material breach of these Terms. This section does not require you to assume responsibility for WTG's own conduct and does not create an indemnity beyond what applicable law permits.
16. Disputes and governing rules
Please contact support@whatsthegamegolf.com first so WTG can try to resolve a concern informally. These Terms do not select a governing jurisdiction, mandatory arbitration process, jury-trial waiver, or class-action waiver. Any dispute process is subject to the rules that validly apply to the parties and cannot waive rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.
17. Changes to these Terms
WTG may update these Terms as the service changes. The current version will be posted at this URL with its applicable effective date. Where legally required, additional notice or consent must be provided before updated terms take effect.
